Yeah, that label looked fake as hell. What're your thoughts?

Seems like the quotation marks said enough. Appeared questionable, but no way to tell now...

Did all Brabantiae bottles have the gold foil? Thought that was geuze

I’m nearly positive that bottle was a fake, but the OP was having none of it. I’ve never seen one with gold foil, all the bottles were capped, the cork was wrong (he sent me a pic), and several mint labels popped up on eBay for sale last spring. A bottle that looked just like that was on MBC a few weeks ago but got pulled by the admin because of those exact concerns.

I recall those labels being on eBay. I wanted to bid on a couple of them to display (I forgot). It had never occurred to me that someone could just slap one on a bottle and sell it. Shows how naive I am. Haha

Class of 2013 here. I'll share some shame w you
Is it worse if my friend told me about the magical world of cantillon in 2010 after spending a couple weeks there, but lambic isn’t really shelf beer in Philly I mostly ignored his advice....

**** in 2010 it was a lot easier! Memphis taproom was selling b1 ^2 750s to go as of 2015, and I bought a 2015 Cantillon Kriek 750 at that Beer Supplier store or whatever on Washington and 2nd a few months ago.

I recall ages ago when I first got into craft beer there were some bottles of Cantillon (Gueuze and Kriek I believe) sitting on the shelf at a bottle shop that I used to frequent for like $20. I scoffed and proclaimed, "Who in their right mind would spend $20 on a single bottle of beer". Man... if only I knew what I would become.

In 2002/2003, I remember looking at the Belgian shelf at my local liquor store and wondering why anyone would pay $9 for a single bottle of beer, no matter how big it was.

I seriously wonder what I passed on.

I also remember seeing Loerik on a shelf or two later, something I only remember because the label reminded me of Uderzo's Asterix work.

I always knew the SF tech bros would ruin lambic.

It was until 2010! I remember places like Capone's and Foodery having several varieties of loons available. LPG and LPF could even be found at places like Canal's in NJ. One day, they just all dried up. Had I known, I would have stocked the **** up.

View attachment 1377 So my beers arrived today via BiaB. Was never sent any tracking information, just that my beers would be sent soon. I think Kirt is a great person and has always been wonderful to me, but this one was pure luck.
Looks like a standard BiaB shipment to me.

Man, that box looks thin. I went with Etre, myself. I probably won't get my box till next week or something.
