Some new Lindemans label approvals

In honor of the new labels, I opened a bottle of CR kriek from the cellar. Bottled December 16 2015 (if I'm remembering correctly). Sat on the counter for about thirty minutes before opening, just to take off the chill.

As with the handful of bottles I've had since it arrived stateside this year, the cherry flavor didn't disappoint. Cherry comes through in the middle, but really shines at the end. Pretty strong acidity on this one, but on the citric side.

No acetic character. I was glad for this, since the bottle I had last week had a pretty pronounced vinegar flavor, and I was afraid it would start showing up in other bottles too. Let's hope that was an isolated incident.

Cracked a Kriek Boon on Friday night. First time trying so I really didn't know what to expect. As a fruit beer, it was pretty tasty. As a lambic, it was one note and lacking lambic character. Reminded me a lot of Lindemans Kriek with a heavy sweetness, lots of cherry flavor, and the most mild backside tartness. I'll stick with Kriek Mariage Parfait.

How is the Timmermans stuff? I found at a place today for cheap, 2.99 for 750s of the framboise and 1.99 for 375s of the Oude Kriek. I meant to just pick some up at that price but forgot, so the question now is it worth driving back there? They also had bottles of Stickee Monkee that I meant to get.
Where!?

Sausage tilquin? I think id still hit it...unless that Sausagebrewer tool had something to do with it.

In other news, I banged a 750ml of that new label/bottle design A&G that popped up on etre recently. In fact, it was in my belly within an hour of arriving at my house. Was pretty good stuff, but you guys already knew that. Strangely enough, it didnt pack the wow factor that my last experience with a 375ml paper label had. Guess ill chalk that up to batch variation, **** palate, bad memory, rage against the price difference between it and OG ;)
