Dying to try Mamouche some day. Adore Lindeman's Blossom gueuze so Mamouche must be right in my wheelhouse.

As a person who hasn't had all the crazy sought out after Cantillon but has had Mamouche I can say I agree with you. MAMOUCHE IS AMAZING. It is also one of my favorite beers.

Never had it out the bottle but the draft at zwanze 14 was amazing.
Anyone have an opinion on how it does a few years down the road?

Old Mamouche is very tasty. Just adds funk IMO. Drank 2013 a few times this year thanks to RandomStrangerNL.

I agree, but decanting is a must with every bottle IMO, makes it much more floral.

About 2 or 3 years ago, The Double Windsor in Brooklyn had its anniversary party on the same day as Zwanze Day. All drafts were $5, including Mamouche 2013 and HF Arthur. Bar was ******* empty thanks to Zwanze, as a few of us TBers drank about 25% of that entire Mamouche keg.

Would you ******** quit hyping up Mamouche? I haven't tried it yet, and was thinking about trying to trade a bottle of Fou Foune or St Lam for one. This isn't going to help my cause...

Was going to buy a bottle a couple years ago, but the person sitting near me opened his and said it tasted like Bell Peppers and Blue Cheese (not in a good way). Scared me away, so I bought some more reliable bottles instead.

But now since I fell in love with BlossomGueuze, I really want to try it...

I agree, but decanting is a must with every bottle IMO, makes it much more floral.

I had a 2013 at de Verzekering a while back, that stuff is awesome. Super funky, not too much green pepper, just super funky

Although I still prefer Goedele's bloesem

I usually get bell pepper out of Mamouche, but in a good way. I love that beer.

There's zero reason to worry about this. Mamouche is easily the least popular of the "fruited" lambics (because it's so polarizing) and no amount of puffery on here will change that. If you want to trade for it, go for it. I've only had 2016 on tap at Zwanze last year, but it was still good.

I'll help you out. Mamouche was the last regular Loon that I got to try and I probably never need to have it again. Not that I'd turn it down, but I ain't seeking that bell pepper beer out.

6 years ago I had the exact same opinion when a bottle showed up at my house and I had no clue wtf it was. It was the 2010 bottling and it ended up being a bell pepper drain pour. Had a different bottling a year or 2 later and it blew my tits off. No green pepper, all floral goodness.

I dont think ive had it since. Id roll the dice and purchase/trade if the opportunity presented itself. In fact, **** it...next chance I get ill pull one from the cellar and intihar it from a flower vase for science.

One of the few "regular" Cantillon beers I've never had. I think I've been to one or two tastings where there were bottles, but they either didn't get opened or I left before they did. I've ticked Don Quixote but not Mamouche, go figure.

My tits have been blown off far more often than not. One of my all-time favorites. You should absolutely seek it out MooseLang

I think I've only had Mamouche two or three times but those bottles were among my favorite Cantillon experiences (above fou, st lam, lpf, etc), most recent being a 2013 bottle late January. NicDacey claimed he picked out some faint bell pepper but I definitely couldn't.

Suffice to say I'd roll the dice on Mamouche any day of the week.
