What were the prices on FF and LPF?

Updating their website at 1am.

They certainly know what audience they are catering to.

Jerks.

I have been checking biab every morning at 5am east coast time (10am in belgium) in anticipation of these bottles, thinking I might have an advantage over the masses in the US, looks like I thought wrong.

do you honestly think this is a bad price? where do you suggest we find them cheaper? flights to belgium aren't cheap...i get that you in all likelihood have access to cheaper lambic, but for most people it's a bit different.

I do think it's a bad price, but that's just me. Look at the dude who posted a haul in Lambic Lovers that he said cost him $800. It was something like 16 bottles? For a couple hundred more you could just go to Belgium and have fun drinking it on site and actually interacting with people. This is why I stick to Girardin and 3F. Plenty of it and cheap.

at 36 euros I'd rather have a 20 bottle cuvee rene kriek bulk pack than 4 fous.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

So much this.

but what if i was somebody who had never had fou before and didn't want twenty bottles of kriek?

i get it. it's not a great price. but if i was someone who had enough money, curiosity and desire to try a forty dollar bottle of beer - and toss in a few others to make shipping less of a hit - but not enough money to fly to belgium, then it seems tolerable.

Anyone care to share their De Cam Nectarine tasting notes? I've seen little discussion in this thread.
Not my notes but this is the summary ive created based on feedback of others:
rediculous vinegar/acidity - no fruit
minimal acidity - jammy fruit juice
tl;dr - classic de cam variation

I wanted a bottle, had the opportunity to get one and passed because
1. I still have bottles of framboise and kriek that im hesitant about opening
2. 3x bottles of Fantome was cheaper

I opened a bottle about a week ago, here are my impressions: smells strongly like baby diaper and a touch of hay even after decanting for ~45 mins in hopes of the poop blowing off; almost no fruit in the aroma. Fairly low carb. Taste is much better than the aroma - some nice stone fruit, not too acidic, with some barnyard funk that's only a bit fecal. Would not bang again but who knows, maybe in a year it'll clean up without getting significantly more acidic.

This is quite similar to the bottle that tbub18 and I had a few weeks ago. Ours also finished with a good amount of diacetyl. Looks like YMMV

Agreed. Yeah like the last 6-8 oz was just fruit smoothie.

Yup was not a fan either. Even getting past the nose I just didn't like it--we had a tough time finishing the bottle

Incredibly acetic, definitely some fruit, but I couldn't handle more than 3-4 ounces. I'm letting my other one sit for another month then I'll give it another go. Not that a month will change that, just hoping the other bottle is more drinkable.

The bottle I brought to an RB tasting did very well. Most rates around the 4 mark. The two bottles I've got left will probably suck based on what I've read. Think it's definitely worth a shot though.
