Drinking a 2014 Beersel Oude Geuze Vieille and I'm getting a pronounced metallic off-flavor on the finish. Anyone else experienced this?

Looks like BiaB got those golden blends back in....

Release the hounds!
Ya I was about 5 seconds away from placing another order I don't REALLY need...

They have some tilquin pack too with Mure, Prunes de namur, and regular goozie and quetsche.

Yeah, I've had the Golden Blend in my cart since yesterday afternoon, but can't get myself to pull the trigger. Whenever I've gotten the itch, I just close the browser window and go drink a 375 of Mariage Parfait or Tilquin.

By the way, how do you quickly see any tasting packs/non-single beer volume deals that are up on BiaB ? I always struggle to find the page that lists them.

Just reload the "new products" page.

I've never ordered with Etre before. When I placed my order almost 10 days ago, what arrived today was not what I ordered despite the tracking being correct. Anyone ever have this problem before? I just now emailed them; hopefully whoever got my box doesn't like lambics and is as frustrated as I am right now and doesn't unwrap every bottle when he goes to return it or something.

I've ordered from Etre 7-8 times in the past few years and I've never had any bottles missing/switched. They're typically really good with email communication, and they're usually very helpful.

I've known of them for years but I just never felt compelled enough to place an order until like I said, 10 days ago, when I was kinda drunk, but I triple checked everything... I didn't order no five ******* bottles of Abbaye De St Bon Chien when we have it shelf turding at my local store. What we don't have is Lambiek Special and 3Fs.

I'm more concerned that they switched labels by accident and hopefully this person who's receiving my bottles is in the US and hates lambics but is smart enough to see through bubble wrap to notice that he or she didn't get what they ordered and leaves it untouched.

Drinking a 2011 cantillon gueuze currently. Really enjoying, lots of funk on nose. Sharp lemony tartness with oak. A lingering acidity.

Really enjoyable but I think cantillon is my least favorite gueuze (usually) between tilquin and 3f.

I agree. And I also like Girardin Black Label as much as Tilquin.

I agree completely.

When I get Cantillon I usually use it for a geuze-mosa because the acidity and sweetness really work for me.

I'll just see myself out now.
