The 19.2oz BA and Java BA Fidy cans were $12.50 which to me is still overpriced considering the economies of scale. Prob won’t be buying any more Oskar Blues stuff after their whole beer club debacle.

For a more direct comparison to a non BA stout...Veil(which many locals lament as being pricey) drops a 16oz pastry stout with a few adjuncts for $5.25/can at the MOST.
I dunno man, for a barrel-aged stout Ten Fidy seems like an okay deal considering 750ml bottles can go for $25++ most times and forget about it if it has wax....I think Tovarish is overpriced but you do get a box o_O (kidding)

From Highland Park Brewing

Street Lights Imperial Stout will go on sale this Monday 1/1/18 online at 12:00pm!

Imperial Stout with Honey, Almonds, and Coconut, 12.5% abv

We are super pumped and honored to get to brew beer with the stout wizards at Jackie O’s Brewery. In developing this beer we pushed for maximum decadence by using rich Weyermann Munich as the base malt. We then layered that with chocolaty roast malts before going crazy with adjuncts. The wildflower honey came from Bennett’s Honey Farm in Ventura. The beer was then aged on more coconut and almonds than we have ever used in a beer. All this results in the most expensive beer we’ve made to date… HAHAHA!! It’s also one of the most warming, rich, and satisfying stouts we’ve brewed. Enjoy!!

Ingredients: Rahr 2-row, Weyermann Munich, Simpson DRC, Simpson Chocolate malt, Roast Barley, Weyermann Carafa malt, Wildflower Honey, Organic Toasted Coconut flakes, Toasted Almonds, and Columbus hops.

Tasting notes: Rich chocolate and coconut fill the aroma with blackberry notes in the background. The velvety mouthfeel is full of nut, coconut, and candy bar flavors. Silky finish with warmth and lingering flavors of almond joy candy bars.

Cans will be sold individually at $11 per can (8 Can limit) 16oz

Sort of off topic, but at Uncle Henry's today I saw they had a bottle of Fou Foune for $80. Way out of what I would be willing to pay, but I've never had it and those really aren't my styles. What is a reasonable price to pay for something like that?

I'd probably be in for $50. I'm a Fou fan but $80 is steep

Sadly $80-100 is the market rate. Only way you're going to get it cheaper would be directly form Cantillon or a homie hookup.

You lot are crazy - unless you are talking about drinking it at a bar or something? No way places are asking that much for a bottle to go?

Sadly, that's what I saw today. If it was in the $40 range, I might pull the trigger just to try it or have it for a bif. But at that price, I don't care.

You know of places that have it on the shelf for less than $80 right now? I'd like to know where if so haha.

I have bought it at 2 places this year for $40 and seen it at another for $50.

Also seen many other Cantillon's up here between $25-$35 throughout the year.

*shrug*
Damn, everywhere here in LA/OC straight rapes on loons. It's sad really. The only way to get them for that price is if you know a guy.

...and $11 hpb adjunct stout...

I love HPB and all but

Gonna be splitting time between Compton and a Hilton near the airport next Wednesday through Friday. Anything worth checking out in either area or in between locations?

I work in Compton. Let me know if you want to meet up. There is also Eureka Burger off the 105. State brewing and LA AleWorks are along that path as well, but I have never been.

Might take you up on this if you're available either Wednesday or Thursday evening. As long as work doesn't **** things up for me too royally. Will hit you up next week. Appreciate the recommendations guys.

Don’t sleep on Mom’s Burgers in Compton. Alondra & Long Beach Blvd. you won’t get any beer there but you’ll smell weed being smoked and get a good taste of Comp Town.
