Steve took me there specifically for the Kölsch. It did not disappoint.

The Indian Mexican fusion food truck a few doors down at Still is solid too!

I’ve actually not eaten there but Still has been making solid stuff. Will need to visit.

Visiting Köln absolutely ruined me on imported kölsch. Mühlen kölsch (and their Mett, holy ****) was just lovely, all the others tasted completely different there, and pretty much the only one I can drink now in the US is Früh.

Früh sucks though. Heater Allen, St Elmo and many others make a far superior Kölsch to Früh.

To each their own. But it is a far far cry from the likes of Mühlen and Päffgen or even Peters or Pfaffen.
Früh, Gaffel and Residorf are the Budweiser of Kölsch.

Came here to mention St. Elmo and am too late. Definitely the best kolsch I’ve had.

Can confirm about Päffgen. Went last year and had one of my favorite beer experiences.

St Elmo is a 5 minute walk from me, and I regularly have their kolsch on tap in my condo. I’m very spoiled nowadays.
