I tried this beer last night from Florida Beer Company and really liked it. After trying a couple of searches to find a recipe I was unable to find anything exact.

On one website I found: "This beer is brewed with the finest malted wheat, malted barley, cascade hops, first gold hops and all natural flavors; coriander, sweet orange peel, bitter orange peel and key lime." So I'm not sure if just taking a witbeir recipe and adding key lime zest would produce the same results.

Has anyone tried this beer and have any suggestions? Or better yet a clone recipe?

Thanks.

Thanks! I'll definitely have to take you up on that offer next time I'm down there.

Even though they name is Key West its actually produced in Melbourne, FL by Florida Beer Co. However, I discovered a case in the grocery store and found it to be horrible tasting.. maybe it went really well with the food I ate or maybe there's something wrong with the case I got. It has a weird taste and the key lime washed out everything else, definitely different than I remembered.

Ugh! Gross, I just found your post when I was looking for the review section to give this beer a negative review. I think it is the key lime juice they ferment it with that gives it a kind of nasty flavor. Citrus juices in general I think are just not that great for fermenting, creating weird "off" flavors. But uh, whatever floats yer boat...
