Kegs and Cold Crashing

I keep my kegerator in my garage in Minnesota over the winter and it’s not heated. I bottle most of the winter. I’m in a situation where I have to keg a beer but only have about 48 hours available above freezing. The beer in the keg freezes when it hits 0 degrees outside, which it will be this week.

My question is, if I get the beer in the keg, cold crash it and get the gas on at 40 psi for 24 hours in the kegerator, could I bring the beer inside to finish keg conditioning at room temp for a few days?

I don’t know a lot about temperature when force carbing other than it needs to be cold to start.

The real freezing point of beer depends on the beer's alcohol percentage, where a 4% beer freezes at 29F and an 8% beer freezes at 26F. Either way, the keg pressure will increase as the beer warms once inside.

If you're in a race against time, you can accelerate carbonation by adding pressure, disconnecting, laying the keg down and rolling it back and forth, then adding more CO2 and repeating.
