does anyone have these flower-shaped nuts on their ball lock posts? one of my keg has one normal (hex) nut, which came off very easily, and one of these, which is stuck tighter than a pinto's pistons, and i have tried everything at my immediate disposal to get it off, including a nutcracker, which assisted in stripping off some shrapnel which is visible in the picture. it's really tight. is there actually a special wrench for this?? thanks!

I use a deep well socket. For tough ones. I use a hammer and pound the socket handle. Make sure to hold the socket on nice and tight

This. I've got just one of those posts on the kegs I recently picked up. After trying several different methods, using the socket and squeezing the ratchet handle towards the closest soda keg handle worked like a charm to bust it loose.

12 point 7/8" deep well socket. Go get one and you'll be pleased.
