I'd love to get out there next month but I'm working weekends in February, we probably won't be making a trip until MayishI'll plan to be there then too!! Lets get the band back together shelf_turd_ferguson, deadmolecules, maca1028. Just need Compton25 to swim back from Kuwait.
There are approximately 1 x 10^23 people in line now.
The **** are you, Jukes?
I think it was a combo of the nice weather and new releases. I went down to Easy Tiger with my wife afterwards and I haven't seen so many people in Downtown Austin since I braved the last Pecan Street festival.![]()
Girlfriends and grandmas were working hard today.
Got there at 11:15, thinking we'd be near front of the line. At least 50+ people already in line in front of us.
Took this pic from the parking lot, after putting my bottles in the car. Never seen a line this long at JK other than at the first Funk & Sour

I hate to speak badly about my favorite brewery in Texas, but I didn't have a good experience at Jester King on Saturday. Arrived at 2pm, waited in line to get the special release bottles, then waited in line to get pours of beer. It was 3:46pm by the time I finally had a beer in my hands. The line to the taproom was down the steps leading up the brewery grounds the whole time I was there. It was crazy how crowded it was this weekend.
It's not their fault that a lot of people showed up, though! I always see ****** reviews of restaurants on, say, Yelp (ugh) where people are complaining about long waits. There is nothing that places can do about that. If a place is too small to accommodate a lot of people, they can't magically get bigger.
I bring my Gameboy and Pokemon for those long line waits. Pikachu I choose you!For sure. There are things places can do to keep people happy while waiting (or failing to wait I guess) though.

I didn't make it out, but I will the 14th like I said. I'm loving this cheap gas in terms of how much cheaper it will be to drive to Austin in a gas guzzling truck. We could've played thumb war if we would've went
Couldn't agree more. It makes every trip out there significantly shittier. I bitched about it on BA a while back and Jeff said it was "on their list," but that was several months ago.JK really needs to do something about their damn driveway... it's getting so bumpy it's becoming ridiculous. They've literally done zero improvements since they've opened.
I know they wanna be "rustic", but damn, put down some rocks/gravel or something if you don't wanna pave it.
/rant.
Caliche holds up pretty good, but it will leave a nice white dust on the foliageJK really needs to do something about their damn driveway... it's getting so bumpy it's becoming ridiculous. They've literally done zero improvements since they've opened.

We got there at 11:15, and like I said, there was already a line. Since there were 3-4 in our group, we took turns going to Stanley's to get beers for everyone, hitting up the taproom for more beers while others were still waiting in line, and buying our glassware while also still waiting in line. So by the time I bought my bottles I'd already had 4 beers and bought my glassware.
You really can't blame a business for being popular, but you can plan more intelligently and make the best of it.
Or you can not go, if it's all too much.
No one ever says "Damn, that Aaron Franklin is not running his business very well, because every time I go there there's a long line I have to wait in."
