Think it’s some sorta strong ale, but it really just tastes to me like English Barleywine aged in Bourbon Barrels.

that's some HotD level flatness, i'm sure its tasty tho
 
did any of you guys pick up wooden hell private reserve today? i missed out on the pre sale, but would love to hear how it is compared to 2017 regular. thinking about casting a line out for it
 
Finally tried Gratitude last week. 2013 bottle. Still pretty damn hoppy. Some decent toffee notes and plenty of dried fruit, raisin, and dates. It's just not my thing though. It tasted marginally better than aged Hopslam. Hard to get past the hops on the front end and bitter finishing notes. Definitely nice to have finally tried it, but not for me.
