Think it’s some sorta strong ale, but it really just tastes to me like English Barleywine aged in Bourbon Barrels.

Might look flat in the pic, but it wasn’t at all. The carbonation was just right.

Boozy and kinda thin, not overly sweet with a bit of rye spiciness. No carb and it's not sticky at all. Really good, I hope they release it again soon.

Bought some bottles but didn't try it. Had plenty left when I strolled in at 3:30. fear025 and trickytunadicky may answer better.

It’s better than the new batch was fresh. Still prefer SJ as top BABW, but this one has a different barrel character and is pretty nice. Will be even nicer when the heat backs off a bit.

No lines or anything. If you have time, definitely roll up and buy some bottles and drink some taps. They didn’t pre-sell everything. We were there at like 3 Pm, but it was steady chill.

it’s been too long since barleywine

get a few of this guy every year. this year is delicious as always! bright fruit, pear and apple, bourbon, vanilla, delicious.

Interested to try these as the reports I’ve heard have been mostly positive. First time it’s been brewed for a long time although the Calvados BA vers from 2003 is a big one for the aficionados.

Finally tried Gratitude last week. 2013 bottle. Still pretty damn hoppy. Some decent toffee notes and plenty of dried fruit, raisin, and dates. It's just not my thing though. It tasted marginally better than aged Hopslam. Hard to get past the hops on the front end and bitter finishing notes. Definitely nice to have finally tried it, but not for me.

Absolutely wonderful. Tastes like toasted pecans, caramel, leather and slight cocoa dust bitterness. The honey provides sweetness, but it's never cloying. It is THICC.
