YES! Such a delicious beer.

Couldn't agree more. Absolutely delicious beer and thought it was the best out of the bunch of BW's that they released in the last year or so.

If we are bringing Old Ales into the mix I opened up a 2005 Brandy Old Stock with some folks 9 months ago or so and it was extrememly tasty. I've been looking to acquire a 2005 Bourbon just to see how it compares to the Brandy.

Don't get me wrong on Blendiculous, it's a very, very nice beer and I'm quite happy to have tried it. But like a lot of other hard to trade for beers, it didn't wow me enough over some more available things to absolutely want to seek it out again. I'm sure you won't be disappointed in it at all, you may even love it, but like I said I preferred Arctic Devil which can be ordered online.

Again, this is hardly exclusive to Blendiculous: I'd rather drink a 2012 Parabola than BCBVS, regardless of trade values, based on how they currently tasted to me. For one example.

I feel the same way as you mostly, except sub 2012 BCBS for parabola.

Lot of English Style BW love in this thread, but where's the love for Bigfoot?! A regular release I look forward to every single year.

Enjoyed one of last year's just the other night. Avery Hog Heaven is another American-style barleywine I enjoy quite a bit.

I feel like I've been remiss in tracking down a number of barleywines that have escaped me or I just havent gotten around to opening. Some are Gratitude, Arctic Devil, BA Hi Fi, Sebago Barleywine, Bligh's, BA Bigfoot, etc. Also I need to try Kuhnhenn BBBW again since last time I dont exactly, uh, recall tasting it.

Here's some pron of a recent one I really enjoyed:

That's a pretty sight, what a lovely color for that beer.

Do you not have an Arctic Devil, or just haven't opened one? I can bring one up with me for you when I pass through Philly next month.

I prefer the english style over american. Though, it puts a smile on my face to see Gratitude getting some love in here.

My highest rated ones are (hahahah homer) Bullfrog Old Toad and Selinsgrove (though theirs in technically a wee heavy.)

Every time I read one of these discussions, it always comes up...people love dem der bottles Sucaba/Abacus and I dont get it. Each time I have had that beer, it seems thin and boring. Perhaps a markintihar of a bottle will enlighten me.

Aged Doggie Claws is pretty delicious.

In a few weeks stxSS07, pmoney, cfrances33, and a few others are doing a Barleywine tasting. Doing a Hi-Fi Rye vert/horizontal, 94 Bigfoot, 07 gratitude, KH, among many others. We're all pretty excited for it.
Totally missed this statement but would you accept donations to this tasting? Might have something to add but need to see the list thus far.

Barrel aged English Barleywine just might be my favorite style. Thanks to the OP I see myself dipping into the cellar for a MoaS sometime in the near future. One of my favorite non ba barleywines has got to be Pretty Things Our Finest Regards, that beer is way too drinkable fresh for being 13%

This (barleywine/old/strong) is by far my number one style(s) of beer(s). Will upload pornzz from the past month or two.

While we are on the shaggy note, mine was almost a drain pour. I certainly hope my other bottle isn't the same.

I recently drank a 2012 and 2009 bomber side by side, then mixed them together. Both very good, but blended was awesome!

This years version of BBOMB comes out in the next month or two...I got to sneak a taste from a barrel at the brewery a couple weeks ago. ******* awesome as usual.

I have a 2 year old Hopslam in my cellar. Has it turned into a world-class barleywine like everybody said it would?

Just saw the 2013 Sebago Barrel Aged Barleywine has hit the taps (at Novare anyways). I know where I'm headed after work...
