I was lucky enough to score a vial of Bug Country in October 2013 right before I moved into a new house.

With all the new house stuff to do, I forgot I purchased it and found it in the fridge behind a box of milled flax seed.

I know sacc has a viability date but I haven't been able to find anything about bug cultures.

Is it still good or did I screw myself?

There's probably something left alive, but I wouldn't rely on it alone to create the sour funky flavors you are probably after. I would pitch it along with a fresh blend, or maybe with dregs into a secondary. I certainly wouldn't throw it out!

I used a vial of ecy01 almost exactly 1 year after production date, started faster and tastes better then a fresh vial of ecy20 pitched in identical beer the same day. You're fine, pitch away.
