...to primary 4 gallons of beer? I usually ferment in carboys, but I'll be using a new liquid wheat beer yeast and I want to top-crop it. Don't know if I'll transfer it to a secondary or just keep it in the bucket until bottling time. Thanks.

...........Also, lots of brewers like Fermcap - that could help, too.
Can you still top crop if you use Fermcap? My understanding is you need a krausen to top crop, so wouldn't Fermcap defeat that purpose?
