So is it fairly typical for Etre to take their sweet time shipping? I was invoiced and paid immediately on Monday morning, no updates since.
They are usually pretty quick with me. MY other site, however, (not biab), has taken over 10 days to ship and they don't actually give out tracking #s from what I can tell. You actually have to request them. Pretty crappy overall, but have found some really rare beers on that site.

It me the guy who like too worry about shipping:

So, my box got to NY a few days ago. I got the usual "Your item has been processed through our facility" message on the tracking screen. Since then, nothing.

I looked at all my old orders, and every single time that "processed" notification came up, there was another notification literally minutes after that. Either, "inbound out of customs" or "arrived at USPS facility." I even got a notification the time it was retained at customs.

Just wondering if anyone else had this radio silence like this?

I've noticed that sometimes the tracking updates just don't show up in real time, for whatever reason. I've had boxes where I assumed they were sitting in customs because of the lack of updates, and then they show up at my door and when I look back at the tracking a whole week worth of updates have mysteriously appeared. USPS is weird, man. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I have a trading partner shipping to California from the Netherlands. He's experienced, but asked if I had any advice specifically related to shipping to California.

I was thinking the usual stuff-

Declare as a fairly low value
Collectible glassware or similar
Gift

Anything else I am missing?

I've heard LAX is stopping international packages left and right. Better to get a proxy somewhere else in the country and then have them ship to you. That's just something I heard though.

recently?

I had issues about a year ago from Etre, but had 2-3 boxes go through in 2016, no issue.

I'm not sure if that's for individuals or just stores. I don't recall anyone mentioning issues with non-store shipments, but they're also rarer.

^^ both are valid points. It may be better now in 2016, and it may have just been store orders getting stopped.

Well, I'll have a data point in a week or so for a person-to-person shipment via LAX customs

So I'm pretty darn impressed with this international order. Packaging was unlike anything I've ever seen.

I just had a box from Belgium never even make it on the plane because it said my address was invalid. Probably just a goof on the carrier's end? Anyone ever encountered this before?

I'm starting to think that I'm going to lose my first Etre box.

Into O'Hare 11 days ago, no word since then. Used to be delivered just 2-3 days after arriving at O'Hare.

:(

This happened to me once. Stalled at that point. I got worried. 8 days later, box arrived with no tracking updates until I signed for it.

Any update? I have one sitting there myself.

Nope. I assume I won't be seeing it. I knew this was a possibility, so I always mentally added like 10% to the cost of online purchases, for the likelihood of losing a box. Still sucks that it seems to be finally happening.

nope but sounds like a good possibility. Was it bpost->usps?

Hey all - got some questions here regarding shipping from Brussels to the US (Michigan)

I have a 12 bottle Lazenne champagne shipper filled with 10 bottles of Cantillon, 1 3F 375ml, and 1 tumbler glass. I'm purchasing a scale later, but this should be <20kg.

What are the steps to print a label on bpost? If someone in Belgium has done this before and help me with the process, I'll give mouthhugs
