so this is my first attempt at brewing and am curious to know ifthe stopper bubbling once every 8-10 seconds 7 hours in is acceptable. its a pale ale .
 
No this is not ok. It should be bubbling way more. It's prob gone bad and will taste awful.
 
In case you take that seriously. Do a search. Bubbling is not a sign of fermentation. Take hydro readings to show consistent gravity reading.
