Hey guys.

I've been brewing for quite some time and I got my first infection. It was in a plastic bucket. Possibly from the gasket or the rubber stopepr I used. Do you think if I oxiclean soak and then bleach it that I can still use it? Or should I cut my losses and ditch that sucker?

I don't really want to buy another fermentor, but I like having multiple batches going at once...

Anyone have any good advise on cleaning an infected fermentor?

You can use liners for the bucket. Reynolds turkey bags.

Get some Star San and just let the gaskets, stoppers, etc.... soak in sanitizer for a while.

If the bucket isn't scratched there is no reason to assume it will infect future batches so long as your cleaning and sanitization methods are proper.
