Ok, I asked a friend if he knew how their commercials would offend black people and he mentioned a new commercial where they were going around to people who would dance when given nuggets. They of course were dancing in a way that appears to be specifically from the young black culture. However, I believe that behavior is now generally accepted and copied among all races of that age group. I think McDonalds is trying to attract a large customer group which happens to be young adults, not black people specifically. Now having said that I know that behavior does not represent all young black adults anymore than it does any race of that age. If anything I see it as an insult to older adults. But then again you have to ask which advertizing would make them more money. At my age I don't particularly like those commercials but that is just times changing. My generation was long hair and rock music and I am sure my parents would have liked it better if I had chosen to not be part of that but I was. McDonalds main catch phrase these days is Im Lovin It and there is no way in hell they are trying to get my attention with that either. I would rather die than say those words.
