I need a source for bulk grains...

Any info. would be appreciated! I'm going to start brewing with a few liquor store owners, and I'd like to get some bulk grains ordered for our "big" sessions.

You ever out on the western side of the state? I've got a guy out in Pittsfield who kinda runs a "store" out of his house who will order in bulk from the distributors. If you wanted to make a road trip out west, you could probably save some $$; no shipping. He was pricing stuff very fairly, too. PM me if you want his email.

If you have any brew pubs in your area, they will often let you in on a few....if they don't get super bulk orders. One in our area has grain in a 1,000 bu. (55,000 pounds) hopper outside.

You're best off following the advice of BigKahuna (but then - who isn't) and The Bird and save shipping. If not, try Brewers Supply Group. They have a warehouse in RI.

+1 for northcountry. Their pallet rate is probably less than $100 to MA so if you could find a couple guys to split 10 or more sacks with you, it would be cost effective.
