I'm trying to figure out how the addition of maple syrup to a brewers best beer kit will effect my recipe but since this is my first time using this software I'm not seeing how to add the maple syrup. Under the fermentables tab there are several sugar options but no maple syrup. What would be the best substitute? I'm thinking "Invert Sugar (golden syrup)" looks like the closest.

I just realized I can add new ingredients to the list. I just need to know the color, extract % etc. Does anyone know how to do this for Grade A pure maple syrup?

Beer Tools Pro lists Maple Syrup, color 35, 29.9 gravity per gallon.

I have no idea if this is accurate.

Thanks, but I'm still a little confused how to add it. I get the 35L part but I'm not sure how 29.9 gravity per gallon translates into an extract percentage. 75% is the default when adding a new item and most of the other sugars have numbers in the 80's and 90's. All of the other sugars have 0% moisture and the two check boxes are unchecked so I would assume the maple would be the same for those as well.

Here is a screen grab if it helps

I just checked mine. I added it in a few months ago for a recipe and believe I took the numbers from New Brewing Lager Beer, but I'm not positive about that.

I have 35.0L and 67.1%.
