How much does a 20-lb bottle weigh?

Yes, it's a trick question... Anybody here know what an empty aluminum 20-lb CO2 bottle should weigh?

I would like to have some early warning when it's getting close to empty.
 
If you have dual gauges the high pressure gauge will read around 850-900 psi @ 70F-75F. When it drops below this you are out of liquid CO2. With a 20# tank you should still have enough CO2 to push several 5gal fully carbonated kegs.
 
The tare weight must be marked.
If not, or unreadable and you don't have a scale ( which I doubt) you can float it in a vessel filled up to the brim in water...
Then measure the water needed to replenish vessel.
Water is 8.3 pounds per gallon approx...
