I ask this because I work the night shift at a hospital and come home in the morning and have a few beers then I fall asleep. My girlfriend calls me a drunk but I only have a couple and its not everday.

How about the rest of ya...???

I'm night shift too and I won't drink within 12 hours of my shift which means I won't have any if I'm busy after work. If I get the chance to drink on the weekend then I might put away 6 pints in a full week.

I don't drink beer at all either. It is sinful and sloven. ;)

NoClue, she may call you a drunk, but that's true only if you're drinking first thing in the morning after waking up. Since you've been up all night, it's really your 'afternoon/evening' so she can have a nice cup of STFU.

When I worked night shift I too would have a few beers in the morning. I would try and explain to your girlfriend that it is no different than dayshift people having a few beers at 5pm. You can't expect strangers not to think that you are a raging alcoholic :drunk: if they see you with beer in the morning. You do need to have your girlfriend understand though.

i'm a drunk. i stopped keeping track, and started kegging so i didn't have any empties to incriminate me. :)

I have "a couple" every day. On a very rare occasion (like going out with HBT'ers) I'll have more than a couple. I exercise a lot, eat right, and am very healthy so why not? I did teach my kids, though, that I drink in moderation (they've never seen me drunk or even tipsy) and never drink and drive.

The funny thing is both of my kids HATE beer and won't even take a sip of my wines. Neither one drinks. They are the worlds biggest dorks, too- especially my daughter.

Anyway, I think that you'll find that here on HBT, most of us drink! So you won't have a very scientific survey!:D

The lack of evidence that goes with kegging will be the death of me as well:mug:

Honestly though, on average 2 pints a night or so. That includes weekends with more and weeknights when I am too busy/have surgery in the morning and can't really drink. Most of the time its some low abv session beer I have in hand if I put down more than that.

I've been having 3 or 4 a night, roughly, but since I started kegging, I don't really get 12oz pours like I do with bottles. More like 8 or 9oz I'd say. So it's about 2 or 3 pints a night, more on weekends. I do like the beer.

Oh no im not answering this one again.. Last time I told someone this, I walked out of the hospital with an AA booklet.

I average a pint or 2 a night with more on the weekend and less during the week. I have 3 month old at home so some nights I don't have the energy to get up and pour a beer.

+1

I float a keg in 1.5 weeks though...

Well I'm in the same boat as most of you. Since I haven't started my next batch yet and my first is long gone, I've been drinking about 2-3 12oz. a night. But in my own defence its been Blue Moon and SN :tank:

And on the super rare occasion I do enjoy the piss water of good old English 800 40oz. hehehe

I think I threw up in my mouth a little. That takes me back to the days of "Edward 40 Hands" in college. :drunk:

my same idea exactly, however we would use Mickey's 40 oz. Rough times man, Rough times.

I have a pint with dinner just about every day. Since [right now] they're saying beer in moderation is good for you I feel that it is my duty to help me remain healthy. I'll quite often have one or two later in the evening as well, though not always.

1 beer most nights, occasionally 2. Average 7-10 12oz beers a week.
Hey the health experts are tells us that up to 2 a day is beneficial, so why not. Just have to watch the extra calories, but thats why I ride a bicycle to work. :)

. . . . but the weekend can be another story :drunk:

Usually one a day, more on the weekends. I think that puts me at about 10-13 a week. Though, between now and may 10 I'm probably going to be cutting back. I have loads of work between now and then, and since I'm moving on the 10th so I won't have enough time to age and drink another 5 gallons before then. So sad!

Fun story: a few months ago my school subscribed to this BS alcohol consumption quiz/website/thing. I filled it out just for laughs (being 100% honest, mind you). Apparently, I drink more in a week than 93% of college women, they calculated my tolerance factor to be 270 (the chart only went up to 250) and my averagee daily BAC is enough to where I should be blacking out regularly. That was a good laugh, glad my school wasted their money on it.

I rarely drink during the week, but it does happen (like yesterday). On a weekend, I might have a beer, or I might have a dozen. It really varies quite a bit, depending on what I do that weekend.

Not much, maybe 2-4 pints a week. Consumption goes up with the temperature and it's been freezing here.

Usually 1-2/night. If it's been a bad day, maybe 3-4. Weekends it depends on when I start drinking. If we're in the garage, It could easily be 5-6 and I won't get a buzz, or maybe I'll just have 1 with dinner.

I'm out of homebrew now, so I probably won't be drinking much until about 3 weeks from now when my Blue Moon clone's done carbing.

I have no intent to let this continue. Until I build up a good stockpile, I'm keeping my carboys full!

I work 4:00pm until between midnight and 2:00am I come home and drink as many as my body allows me to stay awake.

About 4 gallons a week. I don't drink before dinner so I don't really get drunk. I usually have three 22's @ night. I don't drink when we go out to eat. I save a few bucks and order iced tea, then drink the good stuff when I get home.
