Hello,
I know this depends on many factors. The beer I am making, my first batch, is an Everyday IPA: http://brooklynbrewshop.com/beer-making-kits/everyday-ipa-1-gal-kit.
When I poured the wort in the carboy and connected the "blow off tube" as instructed (see http://brooklynbrewshop.com/directions/Brooklyn Brew Shop - Everyday IPA Instructions.pdf) it bubbled, I would say within a few hours. The next day in the morning (I brew at night) I saw activity still but then towards the end of day it was gone.
It has been almost 3 days and there is no more bubbling. I have been worried thinking that bubbling is something that will last a long time but I have been reading that this is just for a few hours and then the fermentation continues.
Thanks in advance guys!
E.
