Overthrowing the government is one thing, but messing with the color/flavor combinations as God intended them is going too far IMHO.

For Christ's sake, we're not a bunch of wild animals.

I see your point :) what you are talking about could indeed lead to a total collapse of what snacking candy should be

we might end up snacking on dirt and worms ;)

I must disagree. Any candy with an artificial apple, banana, or watermelon flavor is just nasty.

When in doubt consult the list below. I use Funny Face Drinks as the standard. These are the colors/flavors as God intended.
  • Red : Cherry - Not watermelon or raspberry.
  • Yellow : lemon - and only lemon.
  • Green : Green is Lime - not apple or kiwi or anything else.
  • Orange : Orange, enough said.
  • Purple : Grape - end of discussion.
  • Blue : Blueberry, not blue raspberry - there is no such thing. A purist would argue that blue shouldn't even be allowed.

If everyone just followed these rules, we'd probably have world peace and no terrorism. Anything else is skirting anarchy. :D

I will have to say that exceptions can be made if said color comes in the shape (and a discernable shape, not just an amorphous blob) of the fruit intended. For example Banana runts are the only acceptable banana candy, and are shaped accordingly. No mistaking them for lemon. So no foul. Maybe laffy taffy. Though that would be a stretch.

I agree on the color/flavor chart. But Are you okay with pink lemonaide?

Also, in my opinion starburst had done it right. Regular flavors, then a separately packaged tropical flavors (starting to get confusing when some jerk mixes regular and tropical flavors in the same bowl, they need to add a type distinction, maybe two colors instead of just color/white).

Oh, and

Needs Reeses Pieces though

I'm OK with anything that will result in me not biting into a candy and saying 'WTF?!?!?' I don't want a flavor that just doesn't make sense based on the color. I'm talking to you pineapple and mango!!!

I like to call it eliminating 'candarchy'.

Don't you DARE think you got away with that unnoticed!
