How do you harvest your own yeast from the trub?

What strains are best, an is it better for making the batch to do so. I have no knowledge of this. But it sounds interesting,

Look up yeast washing and yeast rinsing and you will find a lot of information on it. There are some videos on youtube as well.

As you have probably noticed, liquid yeasts can be fairly expensive, so this is a good way to get several uses out of them for similar styles of beer.
