how do I hook up the Love TS2-010?

can anyone help me out with this? All I have is the unit and the probe, what gauge of wire do you use for power, how do you hook it up to the motor of the freezer? It came with a wiring diagram but I am so confused. Where do I start?

Hook up the sensor to terminals 1 and 2.
120-v from line to #7
Jumper #7 to #10
Neutral to #8, along with neutral to the receptacle common
Power to the outlet from #11
I would use #12 wire, since the controller will pass 16-amps.
