I stare at my beer on a regular basis thinking how did you get so beautiful and when can i drink you.I read forums about people who "forgot" there beer was in the basement for six months, but it turned out great. The only thing I forgot in my basement was to clean it!

It gets easier once you have a good supply of drink. And, not cleaning the basement helps hide the carboys.

For me, I have 5 taps flowing and a low consumption rate so it's easy to forget about a current batch.

I dont think I ever 'forget' about my beer, I just try to hurry up and have something to take my mind off of it when it turns out less than desirable. I have a haus ale that is coming up on 4-5 months old. Only because I went ahead and brewed some others that were tasty and helped me forget about how terrible it was. (emphasis on WAS)

If I have nothing else in the pipeline (or ready to drink) then its rather painful having to look at something that tastes like utter ass.

I forget about bottles all the time. Makes it so much better when I find them again. Although, I have weird habits of just putting bottles in different pantries, closets, and refrigerators.

Yep. I have gone from obsessing about each batch to having 7 batches going and forgetting when they will be ready. I have so many bottles in the garage that i have definitely lost track of what is going on in there.
