I can't stand anything past a 3 day beard, too scratchy
What are we talking about? The itch goes away by Day #6 or 7.
I get a rash when I shave. I had to shave in boot camp in 1976, but I've had a beard ever since.
Yup, had mine the whole time I was in the Nav, except boot camp.No one has seen me clean shaven since December of 1969. I was in the navy when Adm Zumwalt said we could grow beards----and I did.
Are those Dungeness crabs?
Yes! And delicious. Are those Dungeness crabs?
Puget Sound, restricted to ship (don't ask), crab nets off fantail, boiling crabs in a bucket in the engineroom with a steam line. Put the crab meat in a coffee mug, and melted butter on it with said steam line. ALMOST makes me miss Washington. (That, and the salmon!)Yes! And delicious.

Reported as off topic.Sorry for adding to the thread drift, but I want to play too!
I wore a beard in the Coast Guard. And being stationed in New Hampshire, we bought lobster cheap from local fishermen. I like to buy it steamed, but some of my shipmates used the corpsman's autoclave in the laundry. Doc was not amused.
And I can't remember if I've already put this one up. Oh well. An oldie but a goodie: View attachment 663556
