I'm trying to brew something that'll be light and relatively crisp, nonthreatening but still with interesting malt flavor - vaguely in the direction of a cream ale, but without any rigid adherence to "cream ale best practices."

That said, I am wondering if anyone has a suggestion from among these for a hop that'd go better with the grains and yeast I've selected below than the Northern Brewer I was gonna use because I have a bunch of pellets in the fridge:

10lb Pale 2-Row
8oz Carapils
4oz Caravienne
4oz Special Roast

Single Infusion, Light Body per Beersmith
Nottingham Yeast
15-20 IBU

I tend to be on the hoppy side of life and make a light beer with a similar grain bill.

What you have there is a really good base for anything from a cream ale of sort through to a IPA if you just crank up the IBUs

If you want to keep it light, cascade, centennial, and the other domestics are always good.

You could also go with the UK hops, Fuggles or EKG (East Kent Goldings)

Any of those would be nice. With your choice of yeast, you could add some EKG and make a "blonde ESB" or "blonde Irish Ale"

If you want to be old school use Cluster. Think other traditional American hops like Northern Brewer would be good as well.

Am trying something along these lines with Junga, which is a Polish hop that's a cross with Northern Brewer. It's quite tasty and not standard c-hop fruit at all.
