If I find a recipe calls for hop plug/whole but I can only get my hands on the pellet version. Can I use pellets with the same result and what would be the conversion for weight?

Yes. There have been experiments that indicate you get better utilization from pellets (mainly because they're pulverized). I'd still do the same amount by weight, so if the recipe calls for an ounce of whole hops/hop plugs, use an ounce of pellet hops. One place they aren't really interchangeable is a hopback; there you'll want to use whole hops to keep it from plugging up on you.

THAnks. I was asking because of some of the recipes on tastybrew.com list recipes that had some hops in pellet form and some plug/whole on the same recipe so I thought there could be a difference
