G’day...

All set for a brew day tomorrow utilising hops in the freezer but having trouble making a decision! Hoping for some advice as I have plenty of mosaic, cascade, Sabro, centennial and ekuanot on hand.

Was thinking of combining Mosaic, cascade and Sabro. Any thoughts??

19l / 5 gallon

Grain bill:
4kg / 8.8lbs golden promise
150g / .3 lbs Simpson light crystal
400g / .89 bestmalz lt munich

WY1217 - west coast ipa

Cheers

You can easily just go with 100% Golden Promise. The Munich and Crystal malts will interfere with the hops. If you are really keen on that old-school Crystal malt " presence " in an IPA, go ahead and use Crystal and cut the Munich out. GP itself will suffice and will most likely let the hops shine a bit more.

Mosaic + Ekuanot + Sabro would be my preferred combination of hops.

*Sabro is a very potent hop and some people on this forum advise against in using too much, as it can overwhelm everything, but as long as you want to experiment, I guess it will be fine to use more.

That’s great mate. Thank you. I should’ve mentioned I’ve already got that grain bill milled and bagged so I’m kind of stuck with it.
