Don't think this is going to change the world...:D

Looks like it uses Cooper packaged ingredients to make beers that they design. The BeerDroid appears to do all the brewing and fermenting, and the BeerFlo dispenses the finished product. It is rather pricey and the ingredients are as well. Don't think this will be a hit, but who knows...

I found this article online earlier today and I did not fully understand what it does? Will this brew your beer, ferment, and be ready to dispense all on its own? How would this thing work? Is there anything else in the marketplace that is like it already? Let me know what y'all thing about this.

Homebrewing goes virtual with the new system.

I got the impression it is to the homebrewer what the Keurigs are to the coffee drinker....sort of.

I love technology, but that system sounds like it's geared towards those with a lot of money who want to make their own homebrew but don't really care to learn the process of making homebrew. In US dollars, the system is in the $525-$600 range and the kits are anywhere from $20-$32, for a 2.5 gallon batch.

Not really worth it to me, but then again I don't think I'm in the demographic that system is tailored to either.

There is at least one forum member here that has one or a similar device...he loves it...To each their own.

Actively participating in the brewing process Mashing/Sparging and things like weighing out and smelling hop is what makes home brewing fun for me personalty, take that all away and Id just go back to buying it. So no worries we all wont get replaced by technology..:)

Now if one particular member here sees this I'm sure it will be a must have and Mr Beer kits will get modified to fit..:D

Thanks for the info guys! I saw this and was kinda confused/intrigued as to what it was. I could never afford it either, BUT I think if it did have a good product launch, it could open doors to distribution and manufacturing which could lower the costs...But really who knows? I'm interested to see where this product will end up.
