Well I am going to give the homebrew deal another try. Had done a couple batches back in the mid 90s and have decided that i think it is time to try it again. Kind of psyched that a hardware store that is about a mile away has added a homebrew section so getting the stuff I need is only moments away.

Look forward to reading thru this forum to get the knowledge needed for a good brew.

Nice to see a CT guy who is not NY leaning in their sports. Looking forward to some tasty beverages.

Welcome, Joe! I lived in Coventry from birth to about 4 years old. Now I'm up in N. Attleboro. Welcome back to the brewing community! You'll find a lot of great resources on HBT. :mug:

EDIT: Check out Blackstone Valley Brewing Supply on Park Ave in Woonsockett. Steve is the owner and is a great guy - extremely knowledgable too.

Welcome, Joe. Hey, unless you are an old-fashioned RI native who won't drive more than five minutes from their house there is a real homebrew store in RI, Blackstone Valley Brewing Supplies in Woonsocket. :mug:

Hey Joe,
Welcome back to brewing. I lived in the Anthony section of Coventry for 30+ yrs. Where abouts are you located? & what hardware store?

I would have no problem checking it out. I like to take a good ride.

Any suggestions on a first brew back. Was inspired the other day after enjoying a Sam Adams Chocolate Bock. WOW. Not sure how tricky that type of recipes is for starting out. Had done an amber and pale ale years ago.
Thinking of something on the IPA side or maybe a red ale.

Well I am off to Woonsocket to check out the Blackstone brewing supply. Will let you know how I make out.

Went to the shop today. Was much smaller than I expected. Steve was a great guy and gave me some good advice. More than likely I will buy my setup from there. Gonna sell some photo gear on eBay soon to rally the coinage.

2 studio lights, wacom tablet, stands, umbrellas etc. Let me know if interested.

Small?!? You should have seen the old store. Makes the new one look like a Home Depot. :p Glad you made it to the store. Steve is passionate about beer and brewing and has the best place around IMO.
