Slow down its not what you think!

I was reading San Antonio Current, a free entertainment publishing, and found an ad for a new Homebrew supply store opening:

Home Brew Fetish HBF
Brewing Supplies and Equipment

Grand opening Saturday Jan 10, 2009
6533 Bandera Road
San Antonio , Texas
210-680-1877

HBF? Is that like sticking your ding-a-ling in a carboy neck or whipping your bare a** with a length of siphon tube?

man that is close to my house I will have to check it out

I do like the guy that owns SA Homebrew Supplies

and he pulls some great pints for 3 Dollars

:mug:

this reminds me of a story SWMBO told me the other night (she is an RN at the hospital) some dude stuck his twig in a plastic milk jug and it got stick. he cut the jug off but couldn't get the ring off. He didn't tell anyone for like 3 days, so when he finally came to the hospital all the skin under the ring was dead. they had to cut it off(the ring) and burn all the dead skin off. Talk about a fetish!!! WTF?

Sounds like they should use the Avatar we're trying to get Yooper to use as their pr pic...

We figure she's strangling the noob with racking hose for moving it from primary to secondary to soon. :D

^^^ sweet! Better yet is the caption/description... "noob strangling"!

Come ON Yoop! Revvy's right!

Anyone good with Photoshop? I think she needs either a beer or a wort chiller in her other hand.

:D

Ask and ye shall receive...

/quick and dirty
//and yeah I know, a clear bottle, for shame...but it was the only image I could find with the right perspective

The add says they are open tues - sat, and by appt on sun and mon. Will be interesting to see what kind of setup they have. I do like San Antonio Homebrew Supply, but this will be closer and competition is always good.

I just got back from a visit to Homebrew Fetish

nice little shop the owner is also great

he did not have the hop brands I wanted in stock but took notes on

everything I asked for that he did not have

also scored a free T shirt

he said just call him and he will try to get what I want/need

:mug:

Mash paddle - a lovingly hand-carved, bird's-eye maple, finished with 10 layers of hand-rubbed tung oil.:fro:

Can you rate the shop from 1 to 10? I'll probably stop by since I live in the area...

I've been hoping for something better than SA Homebrew Supply for a long time now. You know, perhaps something that doesn't look like a junk yard that happens to have some grain spilled all over the floor next to some outdated extract adjacent to a tiny hops/yeast fridge. :drunk:

I did explain to the new owner

"there are a lot of all grain brewers in our area"

its a small shop with canned malt extract some grains and DME a small(so far) fridge with hops and yeasties

most of the needs Dude has airlocks for .89 cents :D

I asked him to get me some Amarillo and Fuggles hops

will post on this

he had saf 04 and 05 yeasties and some smack packs and a few other dry yeasts had most of the reg hops

Wow, I think the Home Brew Fetish is way cool....Actually I am the owner, guys let me know what you want or need and I will tell you if I can get it, when and for what price here on this site via private message...or email me at [email protected]

you should be able to apply for a VENDOR status

here

and thanks for the quick responce on the hops

wasnt looking to get that much but willl take half (think i can slide that by the mother ship)

and how did you know it was me lol

:mug:

Yup, I went by there on Saturday. Met the owner, he's kinda of a canned kit kinda guy, and very nice. He had some grains and making note of some of the things I would like him to stock. This place seems promising to the local homebrewer if we visit often and he listens to our needs. I told him to visit this forum as he'd get a feel for what the homebrewers were looking for.

Good for you! I think this place has the most up-to-date information and trends, and it would be nice if more shop owners kept up with current knowledge and technology.

Matt the owner of Homebrew Fettish was kind enough to

special order me a # each of Amarrillo and Fuggles (US)

Wine makers, we have Zork Wine Closures (Many people believe the unusually named ZORK is the greatest advancement to winemaking since the treading of the first grapes. ZORK manufactures soft re-sealable wine closures that replicate the performance of a screw cap, but pop like a cork, all without the need for a corkscrew. Adding yet another aspect to the enjoyment of wine, it also effectively reseals the bottle. Made from 100% recyclable food-grade polymers, ZORK wine closures do not taint wine or scalp its flavours. Easily opened by hand, ZORK retains the celebratory ‘pop’ of a cork while safely protecting the wine to be enjoyed as the winemaker intended.

Hops shortage, what hops shortage? We received a shipment of pellet hops, including Fuggles, Tettnanger, Liberty and Williamette. As such, we now have too much hops inventory so:
