Hello from San Antonio

Hello to all from South Texas. I am a true newbie and looking forward reading and researching using site. I have not purchase my home kit yet but I am doing the research before I pull the trigger on a kit. I hope to make an educated decision regarding a good kit, hopefully within the next week. My favorite beers are strong Belgian Ales and micro-brew IPA’s (Dogfish Head 90 - 120). Goal: A hoppy/barley Ale ABV > 10 less than 200 calories.
