Hello From New Mexico

I’ve been a huge beer and wine fan for years and decided it was time to try my hand at some of my own brew. I was fortunate enough to have some family that has brewed for a while and got a great hand-me-down 5 gallon kit. I’ve started 2 brews one Black IPA and a Simcoe IPA. We shall see how they turn out. I'm also enrolled in a chemical engineering class that focuses on the brewing process next semester at NMSU. I'm really looking forward to that. Cheers!!!

Welcome and good luck. I'm new to homebrewing too. I've had some thoughts about seeing if any colleges around my area offer any brewing chemistry classes, I'm pretty intrigued by all the "under the hood" kind of stuff.
