Hello, all. I'm really happy to be part of this site, and really appreciate all your expertise and help. The friendliness here only tops off the keg.
Started brewing last year while in Colorado, but SWMBO wanted us to be in Nevada with kids and grand kids, so grandpa has some new junior brewers to train. Only wished I started years ago when I savored a daily Pete's Wicked ale, Ken Grossman was getting things kicked up, and that cool looking new book by Charlie Papazian in the book store was one I should have bought.
Couple more years of work, then it's going to be full speed ahead. Ah, well, I'll catch up, and as Tom Robbins said, "It's never too late to have a happy childhood...."
Lately, the bookshelf leads with Charlie, Palmer, and some really good BA books. I really took a shine to Quirkey's home brew near Denver, and now looking into LHBSs here and in Reno, which I believe in supporting. I may hit the chats up on suggestions for shopping for yeast on-line. I'm not a fan of warm yeast, though. White Labs will ship 1 day chilled for a premium. Any suggestions appreciated.
Favorite styles include ESB and Marzen, and I only hope to learn to clone Left Hand's Sawtooth Ale, which isn't here in Nevada, and which I sorely miss.
Thanks for a great site, and look forward to joining into the discussions. Cheers!
