Just dove into my second batch of brew a few weeks ago. I've learned a lot about home brewing already and am looking forward to getting input from more experienced brewers

Hey, I'm in Lisle! College & Hobson area...

There are quite a few brewers in the area, and all I have met have been standup guys!

That's pretty close to me MrInternet, I'm right off maple and benedictine pwkway...Right now I have a robust porter in my primary fermenter and should have some wonderful beer in about 4 weeks :)

Me too! Same style and everything... We'll have to compare notes. :)

You're pretty close to me ... i'm in Steeple Run? You in Oak Hills?

Did you rack your porter over to a secondary fermenter or leave it in a primary?

It's been in primary for a month... I should really bottle it, but I keep hoping against hope the FG will drop another couple of points. Toying with racking onto bourbon in the bottling bucket, but will probably not mess with it for this first batch...

Sorry for the lateness of the welcome, but the warmth and friendliness are the same! So, welcome from the teeming metropolis of Marengo...out in the middle of corn and soybeans, a bit east of Rockford.

welcome from WNY!... Chicago may be the only contender for Dyngus Day capital of America... But I think we have it all wrapped up here in Buffalo!
