I'm thinking of converting my brew kettle to a boiling kettle. Basically adding this to help with boiling on the stove top.
Will this heating element work:

Is there another option or will this work? I'm wanting a 120v to help with boiling on the stove top in the winter. My flat top stove doesn't like to heat 3 gallons of water. It took me 4 + hours today to brew.
Is this worth the couple of bucks or is it a waste of time?
