Has anyone used these as fermentors?

So while my wife is watching some show I don't care about, I was researching what various size buckets are out there as fermentors. I was actually just looking for a cheap ale pale, but my search brought me to these "milk jugs". They actually seem pretty incredible. 2.0mm stainless, tig welded, air and liquid tight... And what I kinda like is the 8 gallon capacity which means probably will never have blowoff. It's 175 bucks free shipping, lifetime guarantee, and even unconditional free return guarantee for 1 year. I know Ssbrewtech makes a great bucket and has the ftss option but this caught my eye. Most people use a fermentation chamber anyways so the ftss is moot. Drill a hole for an airlock and your in business. Maybe get uber custom and have jaybird drill and weld a TC port for dry hopping or literally every accessory you'd want. Whatcha think? They are available in many sizes to accommodate small batch to 10g plus! I am very tempted.

the 10 gallon is only an extra $20. I think its a good idea if you don't mind having to do a little extra to it out of the box. Anvil has a new ss fermenter for that same price point that is ready to go out of the box.

Looks good. Wonder if they’ll hold any pressure.

Looking at how firm these things latch, I'd say yes (within reason).

It's funny because I spent 200 bucks on the Craftabrew Catalyst, which isn't a bad fermentor at all, but I realized that it has VERY little headspace and I have to wash the yeast I collect anyways. Yeast sticks to the sides like mad so I can't make a clean transfer from fermentor to keg... So why not simplify with a bucket with excellent headspace, no light permeability, and room to customize? You can easily go weldless as well. I am back to using a racking cane anyways...

I was looking at a brew bucket but now am not sure... someone should see how much jaybird would charge for a TC port welded onto the cap.

These could be a good option but I'll never go back to a racking cane. Dispensing from the bottom with the rotating arm like in the Ss buckets is incredibly convenient.

arent the ss buckets around the same price too? I know I paid less than $300 for my 8 gallon stainless conical fermenter.... and chapman makes stainless fermenters for less than these I believe..
