No matter what you think of their politics, we do have to thank the late California Senator Alan Cranston and then President Jimmy Carter for legalizing what we do. Cranston, for introducing legislation in 1978 that allowed us to homebrew without taxation; Carter, for signing it into law which became effective February 1979.

Happy Anniversary! We'll all have to hoist a homebrew in celebration tonight (I guess since we missed the day, we'll just have to do it every day this month)!:mug:
