This is a first for me - I made a wheat beer, the only fermentables in the 5G batch was 6lb of wheat DME and .5lb of carapils. I used Wyeast 1010, no starter. I put it in the primary Saturday night (~8:00PM)

It was bubbling strongly yesterday, I checked it at roughly 10:00PM last night and it was still going storng. I got up this morning and checked it at 8AM to find the whole lid had been shot off onto the floor. I keep everything in my pantry, so nothing should have been able to get into it, but are there any other concerns I should have? This is a first for me.

With all the CO2 coming out of the fermentor, nothing could get in. Clean and sanitize the lid and put it back on. Then hook up a blowoff tube. You'll be fine.

By the way, pics or it didn't happen!

Nope. Clean it up and life will be good. You have enough CO2 pressure (obviously) to keep comtaminants out.

Consider going to a blowoff, though, at least until the violent phase is done,.

Dang, I totally should have taken pictures, the shock was too much for me to even think about that!

And thanks everyone, glad to hear it should be ok :)
