I'm wondering if anyone can link me up to some yeast storage containers (for harvested yeast) that they actually like/work well.
I've never been happy with (regular?) mason jars. They don't seem to seal well at all.

Looking for something that is reasonably small (~4oz), actually seals (a beefy silicone seal would be ideal) and can be boiled to sterilize.

I use mason jars. Infinitely reusable and I've never had any trouble with lids sealing - traditional lids or plastic lids. I use 1/2 pint, pint, and quart jars for harvesting.

I also use them for making tinctures, soaking oak cubes, etc. We have hundreds of mason jars and never enough home-grown foods to use them all for canning.
 
I put my over build starters in 250 ml Erlenmeyer flasks with foil on top. Harvested yeast gose in a 1000 ml flask. I also have a mason jar with molded markings at 1/2 cup intervals.

I use canning jars and plastic lids. While I intentionally keep the lid on my jars just a little loose, they sell some "leakproof" lids that seem to seal well. They are a sturdy plastic that I suspect would stand up to sanitizing in boiling water (I have not tried. I just clean and sanitize with StarSan). I use 8 oz jars, but they also sell 4 oz jars with a standard sized lid.

I find that the white plastic lids work just fine on the mason jars. The jars are however designed to close with canning lids where the screw band isn't what is forming the seal. You can in fact remove the bands after sealing. The band is just meant to hold the lid snug while processing in the canner. There are fermentation lids available for mason jars some better than others, that will hold a tight seal. Also, if you wanted to, there a vacuum lids if you have a vacuum sealer. Norcal Brewing Solutions has a variety of canning lids for different purposes if you wanted something sophisticated. Then one last one is there are flip top mason jars with rubberized seals but I would be careful with those as they are often more decorative.
 
Sounds silly, but breast milk bags. They're sterile out of the box, so don't require any preparation before use, and can just be cut open and disposed of after use. I've been using them for years, and I won't go back to jars unless I have a ton of slurry to save.

I just ordered some. I was surprised that they are so cheap.
