Can anyone tell which popular yeast are gluten free? I'm using Safale 05 mostly.

I'm brewing Carity Ferm for my wife who is Celiac but does fine with my beers. Just wanted to make sure I was using a gluten free yeast if at all possible.

Thanks.

I just read some on the internet. I think the yeast itself is gluten free. It is the way the yeast is propagated. Many use beer as the nutrient source thus contain gluten in the mix. One site said dry yeasts were gluten free. The best source of information would be the manufacturer themselves. I would email the question to Fermentis.
