I'm brewing a clone for the humidor IPA and I calls for some fwhs. I have done some mash hopping in the past by putting hops in my grain bag and steeping. So I want to know if I put my hops in the kettle steep my grains leave the hops in the kettle and proceed with my boil would that constitute fwhing for and extract brew

Add the hops around the time when you are done steeping and start to ramp the temp up towards boiling. If you want the effect to be closer to a true FWH, add some extract at that point as well to bring up the gravity.

Thanks will do. I usually add about half the extract at the beginning and the rest with 15 min left
