Gold colored crown caps that have been soaked in undiluted StarSan will turn to silver colored crown caps with a quick rinse.... Don't ask me how I know

Why are you using undiluted star san?
Grungy looking copper and brass will turn sparkling bright in working solution Starsan. A little brushing will make them look even better. Just don't drink that Starsan or use for sanitizing after treating those metals.

I keep my brewing stuff in a Rubbermaid tote in the basement between uses. My brand new just opened 16 oz bottle of StarSan tipped over and completely leaked out all over everything in the tote.....
