Freezing wort

Interesting idea. If it is post boil wort, you'd have to be very careful with sanitation. If if its pre-boil, doesn't seem like there is any reason prohibiting your idea. Although, freezing and thawing a bunch of wort seems like a pain in the ass.
 
Keeping it refrigerated would seem to be just as effective... Rack it into 1 gallon jugs & pour back into the kettle when ready to boil...
 
You'd have to bring it to a boil briefly, to kill the lactobacillus and things from the grain so that bacteria doesn't grow while chilling to freeze, or thawing to use.

That seems like a lot of trouble, since by that time the wort is only 45 minutes away from being done anyway. It would take longer to cool it down and freeze it and thaw it than it would to just finish the boil.
 
That's a good point Yooper. I was also thinking about making wort for a friend who only does extract. That way he knows exactly what he's getting
