thanks for the vote of confidence @wepeeler and @Dgallo ! excited to be in this round...But y'all should have set the bar a little lower for my first go round..."he's a good home brewer who will send his beers to ya" would have sufficed. But nooooo......"he brews great beers" has been thrown out there and now the damn pressure is high! lol. I don't think any of my beers have obvious flaws (unless I screw the pooch packaging) so hopefully someone will enjoy them. I know I just need to relax and have a Homebrew myself. But I will say that I have had the guilty pleasure of watching several of these "drafts" and gotten a chuckle out of the banter. So glad to be part of this next one

I've tried shipping beer in boxes through FedEx and UPS and all 3 times I had my boxes opened. Hazard of having brown skin in a racist town in a racist state...just a wild guess since I never see them open anyone else's boxes

@seanjwalker1 My UPS guy never even saw me. I printed and paid for the label on the UPS website and left the package on my front porch with a sign that says "Attn: UPS driver! Please pick up - Prepaid label." Between my wife and I and our four adult children that still live at home ... UPS visits our house at least 3 days each week. When creating the shipping label on the website it will ask what you are shipping ... I answered "Live Yeast Samples"

I put homemade vinegar once, BBQ sauce once and something else ?? They still opened them. Even when I shipped a very small box containing my brothers asthma medication when he was visiting out of state they still opened it !!! I really got pissed that time. I confronted them about making me unwrap my small box and not anyone else. They said it was random. Yeah sure it was. All 4 times I was the random person who just happened to have brown skin. It is what it is. And these were different stores !!!

USPS, flatrate shipping box, print label at home, drop at post office and walk away. While white, I have zero interaction with any of the people at the post office. I'll walk in and drop my box(es) off at a unmanned window and walk away

They cannot open it without a PMG's authority, so they usually don't unless there are smells and/or the sound of liquid sloshing around.

I'm coming to the realization these batches of brews are not really good enough for sharing. Thought maybe aging would help but unfortunately it's not the case. Definitely not up to @Pianoman standards!

Along with that my work schedule is back in flux and I may end up on night shift again real soon.

Since I don't have plans on brewing in the immediate future, I'm going to bow out of this round. Have fun y'all!

I’d say most folk ship within 4 weeks from the draft but I’ve taken as long 6-7 weeks. People are pretty chill in the thread and as long as your honest and upfront, no one seems to mind

@murphyslaw @Dgallo is right. Just be upfront and honest about it and keep the person who picks you posted as time passes. I personally don’t care how long it takes, it’s only beer (family, work, etc are more important) but an occasional PM checking in goes a long way.

Just wanted to provide an update to the group... After getting my first two brews ready, I came down with a case of COVID. I'm finally almost back to normal so I'm hoping to get the last two brews done ASAP. That said, I'm also being extra cautious so I'll let you guys know if anything changes.

Side note... This is the first beer I've had in a while that actually tasted good. HB Hazy DIPA. Hopefully it'll make it into this trade.
